Well Boy has this been a busy two weeks.

Between kids, work, crazy weather, school. I barely worked on anything, but I have worked some and the progress has been amazing, I am almost finished with the base cabinet and will post pics of it this week.

Sanding, wiping, staining, sanding, staining, and Buffing.. that is the routine for now.

Well it has been several days since my last post, and we have been fortunate enough that someone posted one of our Projects, on Ana-white.com. So this has been a good weekend, found out that my wife is pregnant, so all of my projects are getting re-arranged. So as the title described the project is in a stalemate right now, just finishing up the sanding of the old finish so I can apply the rest of the stain and poly to the cabinets.. We are close, but not quite there yet.  I will post pictures in a few days to show the new base with the first coat of stain, and with the drawers reinstalled.

Well I haven't had a lot of time to work on the project, but I did have some time to take some more photos, and to try out the Polyshade Stain from Minwax.  We will be using the Antique Walnut High gloss stain.

Well today has been a very busy day, thanks to my loving wife, who has a keen eye for random items she knows that I will love. I was able to purchase a rather beaten and well worn gun cabinet for my house. This is what has spurred our creative juices, and sent our entire family into a new family hobby/activity. I will keep you updated on the progress of all the projects that we do as often as I am able. Below are a few pictures of the gun cabinet, before we had much of a chance to work on it.
